How We Categorize Color
At Pieced Pineapple Studio, we know that "Green" isn't just green—it’s Sage, Emerald, or Chartreuse. Our color filters are curated to help you build the perfect palette:- Complex Tones: If a fabric sits perfectly between two worlds (like a warm Coral or a deep Teal), you’ll find it listed in both categories. We want to ensure you don’t miss the perfect blender just because it’s a "tweener" color.
- Dominant Impression: Fabrics are sorted by their primary visual impact. A Navy print with tiny white stars will live in Blue, Navy & Indigo, while a bold, multi-colored floral will be found in Rainbow & Multi-Tonal.
- The "Squint" Rule: Our team categorizes each bolt based on how the color reads from a distance. This ensures that when you shop "Yellow, Gold & Ochre," the fabrics you see will harmonize together in a quilt top.
